Officially accepted a placement

A little change in plans. After a discussion with Ms. Bradley on Thursday, March 30, 2017 about the placement at Skyline we decided I should go for one more interview before I finalize my decision at Skyline.

Friday morning (March 31st)  I interviewed with Crystal and Mr. Teixeira at Teixeira Law Office in Cambridge. They were both very friendly. I didn't go into the interview feeling worried. I knew that if this was the place for me it would be mine, and everything would fall into place. Whether with this placement or the one at Skyline. I left the interview feeling happy and confident. The assistant got back to me after an hour and  offering me the placement position, which I have accepted.

It may be a small law firm, but the people their have huge hearts. My giggly, fun personality will fit just right in with the others. The law firm covers wills and estates, real estate and family law. I'm excited to start working at this law firm, more excited now then I was with my other officer. I also  look forward on expanding the skills and knowledge I've gained these past two years during my placement.

They are also looking to hire, so depending on my performance I may be looking at a full time job after. So that motivates me to give it my all, 100% and more.

Third times the charm!!

I heard back from Skyline Group of Companies on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. They offered me a placement position at their office in Guelph and I accepted their offer Thursday morning.

Now I am just waiting to receive some forms earlier this week coming up regarding the placement position and I will have them sign my papers. After all the paper work I will be all set for April 10th.

I look forward to starting and putting everything I've learned these past two years to use in the real world.

Interviews

To this date I've had three interviews. Rabideau Law got in touch with me earlier this week after my interview with them on March 2nd and mentioned that they will be choosing a candidate for the placement position soon. The position at this law firm is for their Debt Law department and they won't be hiring after, so it makes me question if I would want to work there knowing I won't get hired on after, and also if I would even be able to think of doing a placement position at the law firm because that compartment is not one of the areas of law that we have studied so far in the program.

My interview on Wednesday, March 15th with Skyline Group of Companies went fantastic... well that's from my perspective. I am still waiting to hear back from them, but third times a charm, I am right?

I can tell my patience is being tested. Although it worries me to not be hearing back as the deadline to find a placement position is getting closer, and the last thing I could ever imagine is not graduating.
